Synchronisity

Tying up my laces
Trying not to be complacent.
Oh, I've been here before
just never with these faces.
Watching it unfold,
passing stories never told.
Separating from the feeling.
Shivering but I'm not cold.
Bringing me closer to you,
but still so far away.
What am I supposed to do
waiting to start the day.
Leaving my worries behind
I'll be fine
I'll be fine.
Coming back down
so much thought without a sound
Untying my laces now
One more time around

Thickets and Thunder
04:20
|

I saw myself walking
submerged as I went
through thickets through thunder
unknowingly sent.
On a venture towards something
a clearing perhaps,
at which I might rest
my mind's eye from this lapse.
Of time that has toughened the soles of my feet
and tugged me so slowly towards where we will meet.
Again and again, like the stars meet the sky
until we are one, our spirits entwined.
But as I watch close,
myself walk through this wood,
I can only but hope,
I emerge as I should.
For thickets and thunder
try ever so hard
to keep me from where I am going

Pay by the Pound

Wish that my focus was enough.
My guide is gone by the end of the month.
Oh yeah, some days are so easy
some days I just get up and I'm on my way.
Oh no, some nights are so dreary
some nights I just sit up over you.
And I know that we'll be fine
I'll be home tonight.
Just give me a little more time
To figure out this mess inside my mind
Confliction between left and the right
One phone call to ruin my night
Perspective can way you down
Pay by the pound

Conscious Intoxication

|

Have you sat and watched the flowers bloom
Thinking back to all those Sunday afternoons
She's still going, holding on I wonder what I'll do when she is gone.
And maybe I'm breathing in too deep or just more alive on empty streets.
The veil is getting thinner, I'm only dreaming but I'll be home for dinner
All we've got is sensation please let me drown in your conscious intoxication
Have you sat and watched the flowers bloom
Thinking back to all those Sunday afternoons.
Thinking 'bout the differences when I know it's all one and the same
Sit back and slip away with me.
